Annual Open Car Show
Planning is underway for the Tri-City Cruisers’ Annual Open Car Show on April 26. They are seeking donations from the community to make the show a success.
Last year’s show had 300 cars, and is considered the largest sponsored car show in Oklahoma. Proceeds made from the show return to the community in the form of aid for residents in need, and scholarships.
The Tri-City Cruisers is an active car club in the Blanchard, Newcastle, and Tuttle areas. Members enjoy a common interest in muscle cars, original and modified cars and trucks of all makes and years. Club activities include monthly meetings, cruise-ins and dinner drives.
A club spokesperson said, “At this time, we are gearing up and getting ready for our annual open car show to take place April 26 behind Braum’s in the casino training parking lot. There is an entry fee of $30 per car, but viewing is free.”
The club is asking local businesses to help out and donate door prize items or to sponsor a $125 trophy.
“All donors will be recognized during the show as well as placed on the club’s Facebook page for the year,” she said.
Checks can be sent to Tri-City Cruisers, 6619 Plumrose Dr., Tuttle, OK 73089. For items to be donated, you can email tricitycruisers48@ gmail.com to arrange pickup.
