A fundraiser benefitting Chayse Martin is from 6 p.m. to midnight this Saturday at Libby’s Cafe, 111 N. Main in Goldsby. The name of the event is the “One Tuff Cookie” Benefit Concert.
Martin was in a bad car wreck November 23. He is currently in a rehabilitation hospital letting his body heal and working on walking again.
At the fundraiser, there will be special guest performances from Cassandra CYD, Tannor Micheal, Ben McKenzie, Jayce Garrett, and Adam Aguilar. There will be a silent auction, drink specials, and #prayforchayse T-shirts. Also, a portion of the sales at Libby’s will be donated to Chayse for his medical expenses. Other donations can be sent by Venmo to @pray4chayse.
The silent auction will have a Dallas Cowboys signed jersey, OU and OSU signed footballs, jewelry, quilts, and paintings, among other items.
Martin is the son of Tim and Angie Salyer and the grandson of Roy and Judy Martin. Chayse went to school from kindergarten through 12th grade in Newcastle and is a 2022 graduate. He currently lives in Newcastle.
Martin chose to go straight into the work force after school instead of college. His vocational technology instructor hired him to do audio/video installation with his company.
Because of his injuries, however, he will not be able to go back to work for some time.
