Cutter Dobbels achieved success at the Western Equipment Ag. Tech Invitational, held on January 18 in Plainview, Texas.

Competing against 197 high school juniors and seniors from multiple states, Dobbels excelled across five challenging skills stations. These stations tested participants on tool identification, parts identification, critical thinking, electrical proficiency, and a general knowledge written test.

Dobbels showcased his abilities by securing first place at four of the five skills stations. His performance earned him prize packages for each category. His cumulative scores placed him first overall in the competition. This achievement was rewarded with a $20,000 college scholarship and approximately $15,000 worth of tools.

Having previously competed in this invitational as a junior, Dobbels returned as a senior to solidify his position as one of the top talents in the field.

His success in the competition has also opened doors to a paid internship with Western Equipment, a testament to his dedication and skills.

Looking ahead, Dobbels plans to utilize his scholarships to pursue one of Western Equipment’s John Deere college degree programs. This opportunity will allow him to further hone his expertise and prepare for a promising career in the industry.
