Nanette Gibbs of Newcastle, Oklahoma, passed away on January 17, 2025. Nanette was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 14, 1952.
She grew up a tomboy after moving to Newcastle in 1964. She graduated high school in 1970. Nanette was the Pet Nanny dog groomer for over 25 years.
She loved riding motorcycles with her husband Jim and spending time with her children, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Newcastle. Nanette was a firecracker, always standing up for what she believed in.
She was very creative and loved giving thoughtful gifts to the people she cared for. Nanette had a green thumb and loved growing all kinds of plants and flowers. She grew up loving horses and dogs and later raised, bred and boarded dogs.
Nanette is preceded in death by: her husband Jim; parents Bruce and Eva Mooney; and sister Cynthia Ratley.
She is survived by: brother Greg Mooney and wife Cindy; children Christine Tilley and husband Kirk, Jim Gibbs and wife Shaunagh, Karen Duncan and husband Chris, Richard Holland and wife Tamara; 10 grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren; dogs Dink, Angel and Navida.
She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Arrangements were under the direction of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel.
