Mayor Karl Nail said the City of Newcastle’s new water treatment facility is going well.
He said, “They are really moving along. We are looking to be ahead of schedule. The facility is amazing. It will be very beneficial to the community.”
Nail said it’s a night and day difference between what the City will have and how it treats the waste, versus the old facility. He noted the way it’s built, the way it will flow, and the way sludge is handled.
He said, “This facility is being built for the long term.”
