To the Editor: This is a message from the Dunning family:
Iwould love to give a huge thanks to Newcastle Police Officers Lieutenant Richard F. Ferguson, and Sergeant Ricky Ambrose. We had a loved one pass away this past week, and they really went above and beyond their duties.
Rather than sitting in their cars and waiting for the funeral home assistant to pick up our loved one, they stayed and bonded with our family like they were a part of it; now they really are. They also stayed and prayed with us. They were so kind and understanding.
