EMS reports November ambulance calls

People falling, having auto accidents, shortness of breath are main calls

McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services reports 233 total emergency calls during the month of November 2024.

Leading reasons for requesting an ambulance were falls, auto accidents, and shortness of breath.

Of all calls made, 104 were non-transport and 129 were billed. They had an average response time of 7.64 minutes and an average miles per patient transport of 10.89.

Types of calls they made were the following: Abdominal pain, 7; alcohol intoxication, 5; allergic reaction, 1; altered consciousness, 4; anxiety, 3; assault, 3; auto accident, 33; ATV accident, 1; cardiac arrest, 6; chest pain, 10; choking, 2; equestrian accident, 1; fall, 36; fire standby, 1; hemorrage, 1; hypergylcemia, 1; hypertension, 1; hypoglycemia, 5; hypotension, 1; laceration, 2; lift assist, 8; overdose, 4; psychiatric, 1; seizure, 9; short of breath, 24; sick call, 41; sports injury, 1; stabbing, 2; stroke, 2; suicide attempt, 2; syncope, 11; trauma injury, 1; and welfare check, 3.
