Hoops action got back underway for 2025 with a Newcastle Racer game against Cache on January 7.
The boys team and the girls junior varsity will take part in the Noble Tournament over the weekend.
Newcastle’s girls go into the second part of their season with a number 8 ranking in OSSAA Class 4A, and an 8-4 overall record going into the Cache game. They were 3-0 playing against Class 4A teams.
The Racer boys were unranked in Class 4A and had a 3-6 record going into the game against Cache this week.
Two of the Racers’ wins were against Class 4A opponents Blanchard and Chickasha.
