Welcome collaboration and input

SENATE REVIEW / From the desk of Sen. Kendal Sacchieri

It was an honor to officially be sworn into the Oklahoma Senate in November and begin serving Senate District 43. As I begin my first term, I am both humbled and eager to take on the responsibilities and challenges ahead. With the commencement of the 60th Legislature nearing, I welcome your collaboration and input as we consider numerous policies and issues this session. My door is always open for my constituents, and I look forward to hearing your ideas, comments and concerns.

Although the legislative session does not officially begin until February 3, my colleagues and I have already begun legislative work, including crafting policies that reflect the needs and values of our constituents. We’ll continue filing bills up until the deadline on January 16, and I look forward to sharing more details on the legislation I’ve authored soon.

The Senate will also be convening for Organizational Day on January 7. On this date, we will review and adopt Senate rules, officially elect Senate leadership, and take care of other administrative business ahead of session.

As we prepare for a busy time at the capitol, I’ve greatly enjoyed getting to spend time across the district attending events, meeting my constituents and joining in on local holiday festivities. During this holiday season, I hope you enjoy your time with your loved ones and find moments of peace and joy amidst the hustle and bustle. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please do not hesitate to contact my office if we can be of assistance to you. You can reach us at 405-521-5522, or by email at Kendal.Sacchieri@ oksenate.gov. Also, I’ve officially moved into my Capitol Office, room 430, and would like to extend an invitation to my constituents to visit if you’re in the area.
