The number 8-ranked Class 4A Newcastle Racer girls won one game and lost one game before playing in a tournament against Class 6A, number 3-ranked Edmond North.

Against Anadarko, the Racers won, 52-32. They were then beat by Conway, Arkansas, 64-43. Next up was the stiff competition at the Mustang Holiday Classic, where Newcastle finished seventh. The Racers lost to Edmond North, 55-33, and to Allen, Texas, 61-60, before playing Owasso for the 61-49 win.

Whitney Wollenberg had a big game scoring 20 points against Anadarko. Six of those buckets were from 3-point range. She was followed in offensive output by Kalani Kindred, who had 14. Raegan Greenroyd had six points, and Zarayia Sims had 5, and Jailiana Salas added a free throw.

Because of Newcastle defensive efforts, none of the Anadarko players were able to score in the double digits.

Playing in the Sickle Cell Tournament, the Racers took their first loss since the Shawnee Tournament to a visiting Arkansas team. Their lead scorer had 27 points, while two other girls had 17 and 12. Kindred led Newcastle scoring with 14. Lilly Taliaferro had 9. Greenroyd had 8, and Ziyah Sims had 6. Both Wollenberg and Zarayia Sims added 3 each.

Against Edmond North, Kalani Kindred had the high score for Newcastle with 13 points. She also led scoring in the Allen, Texas, game with 22 points. Kaelin Horton had 16 points for the Racers. Against Owasso, Ziyah Sims led Newcastle scoring with 14 points. Lilly Taliaferro had 12, Raegan Greenroyd had 11, Kindred had 9. The Racers are now 8-4.
