Appointed by county commissioners
McClain County Commissioners appointed Elizabeth Patrick as the new McClain County Assessor at their regular weekly meeting Monday, November 25 at the county courthouse.
She was sworn into office Monday by Associate District Judge Charles Gray.
Patrick replaces Kendal Sacchieri, who resigned after being elected to the Oklahoma State Senate in District 43.
State law says no person in Oklahoma can hold two elected positions so Sacchieri had to resign her county office once she won the senate seat.
County Commissioner Wilson Lyles said the commissioners knew that Patrick was interested in being the Assessor going forward so they talked with her Tracy Rollins. She also works in the Assessor’s Office, and is in charge of mapping. Lyles said Rollins wanted to stay in her current position.
ASSESSOR:
She knows the office well
Commissioners appointed Patrick. Lyles said she knows the office and understands it very well.
Patrick has been in the office since January 2019, and was previously the Office Deputy.
She had been a resident of Purcell for the past 20 years, but currently resides between Dibble and Lindsay. Patrick has two grown children: Jordan, 23; and Jadyn, 18.
