A Newcastle Chamber of Commerce luncheon last week focused on Pioneer Telephone Cooperative. The main topic: a Tech Talk provided by Pioneer’s Josh Gore, the manager of the company’s Broadband Resolution Center.
The luncheon, hosted by the Newcastle provider, not only provided tech information, but also a look at what all the company provides. This was gathered through networking and information provided by talking with Pioneer employees at tables throughout the Newcastle Community Center. The company also had several giveaways.
Gore provided background on Pioneer and its capabilities with Wi-Fi, including the company’s free Smart Wi-Fi App, which can do many things for users including setting up networks, Smart Wi-Fi Network Security, and enhanced experiences for homeowners, such as a list of people on your network and the ability to limit access, or shut down devices on your network. Gore said the App also will allow the user to create traffic priority and device priority, while stopping any malicious activity.
Gore said Pioneer will be offering Business Broadband with built-in static IP and Wi-Fi Extender, built in protections, and a Business Smart Wi-Fi app, priority out-of-service response, and cell service back up.
Also part of the luncheon, Chamber CEO/Executive Director Gayla Riddle introduced the Chamber Ambassadors for 2023. They are: Mindy Bellack, co chair, Frontline Family Solutions; Scott Hannan, co-chair, Ava. nu Media; Boomer Elcyzyn, POW’R Bowls; Ashley Evans, OEC; Robin Fielder, Pioneer; Darin Foster, Pioneer; Kelly Hughes, OERB; Jaclyn Miller, TSET; Leslie Switzer, Prime Realty/Switzer Sooner Living; and Jayna Kinnamon, River Stone Ranch Kennels.
Cabello and Hannan, who are members of the Chamber’s Marketing Committee, announced the launch of the Chamber’s new website. It can be found online at newcastleok. org, and is designed with new branding and a new logo. The site was created by Newcastle resident Aaron Young of AJY Design.
Hannan said the website was designed with the thought in mind of connecting what matters in Newcastle by being stronger together, and as a way to give more value to Chamber members.
To conclude the Chamber luncheon, Pioneer representative and active Chamber member Fielder announced the giveaways.
Luncheon attendees who took part in the networking by going from table-to-table and talking with Pioneer representatives and then making note of who they talked to and what they learned were part of the drawing.
