Three senior cheerleaders have been rooting on their team on the Newcastle Racers’ sidelines for 12 years. They’ve done so since they were in first grade at Newcastle Elementary School.
Ava Miller, Bayli Privett, and Ella Phillips, like many future Racer cheerleaders, could not wait for the opportunity to cheer under the Friday Night Lights and get the crowd to their feet yelling, “Racer Power.”
From leading the loudest ‘Racer Power’ chants to rallying the crowd through every touchdown, Ava’s, Bayli’s, and Ella’s Racer spirit paves the way for future Racer Cheerleaders.
Last Friday was the last night for them, and all senior cheerleaders, to cheer for a football game at Racer Stadium.
The Racers were competing in the second round of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association Class 5A State Playoffs against the Pryor Tigers.
