Their average response time was 7.78 minutes, and they traveled an average of 12.09 miles per patient transport.
Types of calls made were the following: Abdominal pain, 7; altered consciousness, 13; animal bite, 1; anxiety, 1; assault, 6; auto accident, 21; auto pedestrian, 1; cardiac arrest, 6; and chest pain, 16; choking, 1; crush injury, 1; event standby, 3; fall, 37; fire standby, 1; GI bleed, 1; hyperglycemia, 3; hypertension, 9; hypoglycemia, 7; hypotension, 1.
Other calls included: laceration, 5; lift assist, 15; overdose, 2; psychiatric, 1; seizure, 11; shortness of breath, 11; sick call, 35; sports injury, 1; stroke, 6; and syncope, 11.
