Students have big weekend at Dance Masters of America
What an absolutely phenomenal weekend for Elevate Dance Academy at Dance Masters of America! It sounds like the entire academy shined brightly, with a truly impressive showing across the board.
The crowning of Maddie Britton as Teen Miss Dance of Chapter 35 and Chloe Davis as Junior Miss Dance of Chapter 35 is a major accomplishment, and it’s clear that both of these young dancers have so much to be proud of. Those titles are the culmination of years of hard work, passion, and support from their amazing instructors, Kelsey Britton and Hannah Tena.
But the success doesn’t stop there! Elevate Dance Academy’s group routines also stood out in a big way, with several routines taking home overall and 1st place finishes:
• A contemporary routine “The Theory of Reality” choreographed by Hannah Tena placed Overall Division Champion for 12 and Under, showcasing the creativity and skill of the dancers.
• A Jazz routine “Abracadabra” choreographed by Trinity Stafford took 1st place in the 10 and Under Division — such a great start to the competition for the youngest dancers.
• A Musical Theater Duet “Money Money Money” choreographed by Trinity Stafford placed 1st in the 8 and Under Division.
• A Contemporary Duet “Angels by The Wings” choreographed by Kelsey Britton brought home 1st place in the 13 and Over Division.
Many of the other soloist and group dances placed in the top 10 and took many judges’ choice awards home! This success does not only showcase their dancing skills, but also the commitment and passion that these little stars bring to the stage.
It sounds like they’ll be heading into their regular competition season with a lot of momentum! If this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to see what’s next for Elevate Dance Academy!
