Several Racer Band Students auditioned and made the 2024-2025 Southwestern Oklahoma Band Directors Association (WOBDA) All-Region Band.
These students will be traveling to Lawton at the end of January to participate in a clinic and concert performance with other students from the southwestern region of Oklahoma.
Band directors said this is a huge honor, and they are very proud of the students’ hard work.
Students making All-Region are: Braxton Cyrus, 7th chair clarinet, and Katelynn Lewis, 1st chair French Horn, for the high school wind ensemble; and Caleb Hysell, 8th chair clarinet, Cooper Lamb, 3rd chair euphonium, and Jared Wickham, 3rd chair trombone, for the high school symphonic band.
Freshman making the 9th Grade Band are: Kasen Cook, 7th chair percussion, Logan Earthman, 5th chair tuba, Christian Staats, 2nd chair percussion, Johnny Tisby, 7th chair clarinet, and Ethan Yates, 12th chair trumpet.
