Woodland Hills Baptist Church, 313 South Hwy. 76 in Newcastle, invites the public at 10 a.m. on November 9 to a seminar about “Surviving the Holidays.”
The seminar will be held in the church Student Center.
“We are hosting ‘Surviving the Holidays,’ a two-hour seminar to help you navigate your loss this holiday season,” said a church spokesperson.
If you are dreading the upcoming season, some of the topics covered that may be of interest will be: Dealing with Your Emotions, Handling Social Events, What to Do About Your Traditions, and according to the church the most important, to Find Your Hope for the Future. The “Surviving the Holidays’” team of Janice, Opal, Joyce and Beverly said the seminar is focused on II Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
