A celebration of Native American Heritage Month is underway at the Chickasaw Nation. With this in mind, two stories are part of this week’s Chickasaw Nation News.
First, a journey along the 1830s Removal route was documented by Harvard student and photographer Branden Hart. A second story focuses on new title releases from Chickasaw Press, White Dog Press and Leaning Pole Press. Books featured include “Chikasa 1889: The Collings-Gatschet Chickasaw Manuscripts,” “Let’s Speak Chickasaw: Chikashshanompa’ Kilanompoli’,” and “Little Big Girl,” among others.
