She said, “We are helping to get free adoptions that day by working with the city animal shelter.”
Riddle said the city will bring two dogs and their adoption notebook, which contains information on other shelter animals.
“If there is a dog a family is interested in, the shelter employees will go get the dog and bring it back to the park for the family to meet,” Riddle said. “We’re excited and hope it helps with some adoptions.”
Riddle said the Chamber will be handing out candy to the kids. She added that the candy is sponsored by OEC/ OEC Fiber. They’ll also have pet treats on hand for families to take home.
