Goldsby, Pauls Valley and McClain County’s Sales Tax and Use tax numbers for the October Oklahoma Tax Commission report increased modestly over 2023 numbers but Blanchard was the exception, showing an increase of more than $236,000.
Newcastle, on the other hand, was down significantly with a decrease of $88,841.71 compared to October 2023 numbers.
Goldsby was up $14,179, Pauls Valley was up $10,651 and McClain County was up by $2,203.
Purcell was down $53,154 while Norman increased its 2024 numbers by $127,663.
The October distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from August business. Statewide, the sales and use tax numbers for 2024 were below totals from 2023.
