Newcastle Public Library lists October family activities

Several activities are scheduled for the first half of October at Newcastle Public Library.

A program from 1-2 p.m. Friday, October 18 will focus on the history of The Drover. The program is sponsored by the Pioneer Library System and will be held at the ballroom in Newcastle Public Library.

The library system says, “Discover the diverse cultures, traditions, and experiences that make up our community. Join the Oklahoma History Museum’s The Drover. It is designed for all ages, and registration is requested, but not required.”

This month’s calendar from today (Thursday) through Thursday, October 17 includes story time events, exercise, coffee and snacks and painting activities.

Events are: October 10 - 10-11 a.m., Get Moving with Beginner SAIL October 10 - 12:30 p.m., Book Discussion — Educated by Tara Westover October 10 - 5:30-6:30 p.m., Get Moving with Beginner Tai Chi October 11 - 10 a.m., Keep Calm & Color On! - Coloring for adults and teens. October 11 - 2-3 p.m., STEAM Kids School-Age: Cup Stacking October 12 - 10-11 a.m., Acrylic Painting for Adults October 15 - 10-11 a.m., Get Moving with Beginner SAIL October 16 - 9-11 a.m., Coffee & Snacks at the Library! October 16 - 10-10:45 a.m., Family Story Time (all ages) October 16 - 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., DigiHub at the Senior Citizens Center October 16 - 4-4:45 p.m., Toddler Story Time (1-3 years old) October 17 - 10-11 a.m., Get Moving with Beginner SAIL October 17 - 5:30 - 6:30 p.m, Get Moving with Beginner Tai Chi
