Newcastle High School Cheer finished in fifth place at the Regionals competition at Chickasha High School on Saturday.
Their finish at the Class 5AII Regionals was good enough to send them to the State Cheer competition.
Newcastle had 238.4 points compared to Blanchard’s first place finish of 272.6, which just edged out Heritage Hall’s 272. Ada had 253.6 points while Tuttle had 245.
Classen SAS at 225.2, Chickasha with 220.8 and Woodward’s 207.2 rounded out the bottom three.
The Competitive Cheer State competition is scheduled for 10 a.m. this Saturday at Union High School, 6836 S. Mingo Road in Tulsa.
