Market & Kickoff tonight in NHS parking lot
Newcastle High School’s 2024 Homecoming Parade is tomorrow morning.
Parading to the theme of “Decades,” students and floats will gather at the high school and then proceed onto Main Street at 10 a.m. before taking a turn at 10th Street and ending at Veterans Park.
City of Newcastle Parks and Recreation Director Kyle Marks invites the community to take part by lining the parade route and watching.
Community members are also invited to a 1990’s them Community Throwback Homecoming Market & Kickoff. It will be from 5:308:30 p.m. in the high school football field parking lot.
Plans include food trucks, a live DJ, local business vendors, Racer merchandise, and yard games on Gene Reid Field. Participants can “rock out in your 90’s gear,” said organizers.
