Newcastle Friends of the Library is a group of volunteers who bring light to the wonderful library in the community. They are always seeking donations of books for their annual fundraiser sale, and they would love to have you join them A group spokesperson said, “Annually we hold a book sale with a bunch of friendly vendors from all around. This year as we have begun to get in our generous donations of books, we are on the lookout for containers to safely store them.
“Should anyone like to donate any of those it would be appreciated.”
She said the Friends want to personally thank Sooner State Bank for lending a room to store all of this year’s books in preparation for the June 2025 book sale.
“Should anyone like to volunteer, follow, or join the Friends of the Library find us on Facebook,” she said. “We will gladly welcome you to any of our meetings.”
The next meeting is at 10 a.m., October 10 at the Newcastle Public Library, 705 N.W. 10th Street. There will be refreshments.
