Newcastle Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Cathy Walker and Mid-America Technology Center Superintendent Mike Eubank will be the featured speakers today for the annual Newcastle Chamber of Commerce State of the Schools luncheon.
The luncheon is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the
SCHOOLS on page 2 NPS Administrative Building auditorium, 101 N. Main Street.
SCHOOLS: NPS, MATC are focus for luncheon
Dr. Walker said she will be sharing highlights from last year, and she’ll have a bond issue construction update. She also will discuss the school safety and the seriousness of threats, as well as the school’s process of investigating a threat.
Eubank will be discussing enrollment and service rate numbers at MATC, as well as construction activities, class offerings, an update on the north campus land, and MATC funding and revenue.
Cost to attend the luncheon is $15 with registration and online payment, or $20 on the day of the event.
