A Newcastle man is dead after a two-vehicle collision at 9:57 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Interstate 44 northbound at Airport Road in Oklahoma City.
Clayton William Pueppke, 50, of Newcastle, was pronounced deceased on scene by medical professionals with EMSA. He was transported by the Medical Examiner to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Randy Jackson reports that Pueppke was driving a 2020 Ford 250 and Jimmy Nathan Rayburn, 72, of Pauls Valley, was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado when the incident occurred.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Trooper Jackson was assisted at the scene by Troopers Lt. Brandon Schneider and Cory Byrne, the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma City Police Department, EMSA, and the Oklahoma City Fire Department.
