McClain-Grady EMS makes 73 sick calls in August

McClain-Grady County Emergency Medical Services went on 285 total calls for the month of August 2024. Of those, 108 were non-transport and 177 were billed calls.

The EMS had an average response time of 7.78 minutes, and an average in miles per patient transport of 12.09.

A marjority of the emergency calls were made due to reports of sickness. Falls, auto accidents, chest pain, and lift assists were also numerous.

Types of calls included the following: Abdominal Pain, 12; alcohol intoxication, 2; allergic reaction, 3; altered consciousness, 5; animal bite, 1; anxiety, 1; assault, 4; ATV accident, 1; automobile accident, 26; BLS transfer, 1; cardiac arrest, 6; chest pain, 24; event standby, 2; fall, 33; fire standby, 6; GI bleed, 2; hypertension, 2; hyperthermia, 2; hypoglycemia, 2; laceration, 1; lift assist, 21; overdose, 3; seizure, 13; shortness of breath, 14; sick call, 73; stroke, 6; syncope, 14; and traumatic injury, 1.
