State Representative Sherrie Conley (R-Newcastle) has been appointed as vice-chair to the Higher Education and Career Tech committee, and she was elected to a Caucus leadership position for the 59th Oklahoma Legislature.
After meetings earlier this year, Conley was elected by the 81 members of the House Republican Caucus as the Caucus Secretary.
“Each of these leaders has a unique background and talents that I believe are wellsuited for their new roles,” House Speaker Charles Mc-Call said. “I look forward to working with them, and the rest of our colleagues, as we strive during the next two years to lay a strong foundation for the future of Oklahoma.”
The 59th Legislature formally began last week with a constitutionally required Organizational Day to officially seat members, install officers and approve rules. Session begins Monday, February 6.
