Norman Regional Health System held a ribbon cutting of its first urgent care clinic at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 28.

Located in the former Norman Regional Hospital Emergency Department at 901 N. Porter Ave., the clinic is part of Norman Regional’s Inspire Health plan to consolidate campuses while meeting the growing needs of our community.

Norman Regional Urgent Care at the Porter Health Village is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering comprehensive medical services without the need for an appointment, ensuring people of all ages have access to quick and efficient care today, not next week.

The clinic is equipped with on-site diagnostics, including X-rays and lab tests.

“Our goal is to serve the community by providing the right care at the right time, whether it’s treating minor injuries like sprains and fractures or addressing illnesses such as respiratory infections and flu symptoms,” said Rich Rodriguez, MD, a board-certified physician at the clinic.

He said, “We want our patients to know that we’re here for them.”

Norman Regional Urgent Care is available at the same cost as a primary care visit, making it a cost-effective alternative for patients who need immediate care.
