Pioneer Library System (PLS) stands dedicated to creating safe, open spaces during which critical topics can be discussed, questions can be asked, and new perspectives can be built.

This commitment is rooted in the library’s mission to provide opportunities for community members of all backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, build social capital, and collaborate to support their collective communities.

In order to further that commitment, the following events have been planned.

Upcoming Events

Join others at the Blanchard Public Library on August 20 for Connection Corner: Chess Club, during which chess enthusiasts of all skill levels can gather to play, learn, and enjoy this classic game.

Celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage at the Purcell Public Library on September 19 during the Hispanic Heritage Festival, featuring music, dance, food, and activities for all ages.

Don’t miss the chance to attend a virtual Author Talk with Liane Moriarty on September 21, where she will discuss her latest book, Here One Moment, and share insights into her writing process.

Experience history coming to life at the Newcastle Public Library on October 18 with The Drover – History Alive, presented by the Oklahoma History Museum. This event will transport participants back in time with engaging stories and historical reenactments.
