Parks and Rec invites residents to shape the future of local parks

For many in Newcastle, parks are where memories are made. Kyle Marks, director of Newcastle Parks and Recreation, often spends weekends at the park with his wife and daughter, watching his little girl explore and play.

For many in Newcastle, parks are where memories are made. Kyle Marks, director of Newcastle Parks and Recreation, often spends weekends at the park with his wife and daughter, watching his little girl explore and play.

“Parks are more than just green spaces,” Marks says. “They bring families together and strengthen our community.”

To ensure these cherished spaces continue to meet residents’ needs, Newcastle Parks and Recreation is launching the Newcastle Community Engagement Survey. Running from now to September 30, this survey aims to gather input from residents on their priorities and concerns regarding local parks and recreational facilities.

How to Participate

Residents can complete the survey online at https://newcastleok. gov/ or https:// freeonlinesurveys.com/s/ NewcastleCommunitySurvey, or pick up a paper copy at City Hall, 120 N.E. 2nd Street.

Community Benefits Marks said the survey results will guide decisions to enhance park services and programs, ensuring they reflect the community’s needs and preferences.
