WalletHub says Oklahoma education is second to last

In an article from WalletHub, school systems from every state in the United States including the District of Columbia were ranked based on performance, funding, safety, class size, and instructor credentials.

In an article from WalletHub, school systems from every state in the United States including the District of Columbia were ranked based on performance, funding, safety, class size, and instructor credentials.

Oklahoma ranked 50, or second to last, only beating out New Mexico at 51.

The top five were Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Wisconsin.

Nearby, Texas ranked 29, Colorado ranked 26, Kansas ranked 37, Arkansas was 31 and Missouri was 38.

WalletHub used 32 metrics, graded individually, to arrive at their final tally. Oklahoma ranked number 47 in both math and reading scores, and for median SAT score. The state was ranked 43 in median ACT score.
