The Newcastle library will be collecting styrofoam products from 1:30-3 p.m. this Saturday, July 20. That includes cups, plates, and even coolers.
The items must be as clean as real dishes you wash, or the grime, grease and sticky pop syrup can cause problems for the process of melting the styrofoam. A tomato sauce stain is okay. Unfortunately, packing peanuts are not taken due to the problem of their blowing away so easily. If you have questions, call Cathy Bowden at 405831-2025.
The next collection date is planned for November 16, also at the Newcastle library.
