Watering your lawn?

City says don’t forget: odds on odd days, evens on even days
Watering your lawn?
Homeowners and business owners in Newcastle are reminded of the City’s odd-even watering program. To help conserve water usage, odd numbered addresses can water on odd numbered calendar days, while even numbered addresses can water on even numbered days

With 100-degree temperatures upon us, the City of Newcastle reminds residents that the City has an odd-even watering program.

Residences and businesses whose address ends in odd numbers can water only on odd days, and those whose address ends in even numbers can water only on even days.

Newcastle contracts with Oklahoma City to purchase water. Public Relations Director Scott Hannan said as part of the Oklahoma City water supply agreement, we are required to follow certain restrictions, including following an odd/even watering schedule year round.

If a drought was to occur, additional conservation measures would take effect. Hannan said for more information, Newcastle residents can go online to squeezeeverydrop. com.
