The annual OSSAA Summer Dead Period was underway this week and concludes on Monday, July 7.
In accordance with OSSAA rules, all Newcastle Public School Athletic Facilities were closed from June 29 through Monday.
Athletic Director Brent Hodges said no one is allowed in or on the facilities during this time.
