Newcastle resident Andrew Riggs is a graduate of Epic Charter Schools. He was among 350 students who were on center stage at 5 p.m., May 31 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman for the Epic graduation.
Riggs’ family members said it was a well organized and beautiful event, and that Andrew had worked hard for this goal.
His hard work paid off as this past year as a junior, Andrew fulfilled all of the Oklahoma education requirements for high school graduation. This qualified him to graduate a year early.
Andrew said he would like to thank Janice Miner and Amber Brents, his former teachers at Epic who helped and encouraged him throughout the years with his dream of high school graduation.
Andrew’s plans for the future are joining the United States Air Force, and later studying meteorology at the University of Oklahoma.
