A Newcastle Chamber of Commerce business luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 28 will feature a Tech Talk from Pioneer.

Josh Gore, manager of the Broadband Resolution Center at Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, will be the guest speaker and Pioneer will have information on the different lines of business, and the help, they offer to Newcastle residents and business owners.

Cost of the luncheon is $15 for those attendees who RSVP ahead of time on the Chamber’s new website at www.newcastleok.org (Related story on page 2). Cost at the door is $20.

Pioneer Public Relations Specialist Robin Fielder said Pioneer’s General Manager Blake Callaham will be attending to introduce Gore, who will be educating attendees on the different aspects of their home internet experience.

“He’s worked with our market for many years,” Fielder said, “and he’s going to take those conversations and knowledge and share his insight.”

Pioneer’s focus is on educating residents to ensure they can navigate their home technology to partner with Pioneer equipment.

“Many times people are unsure of how to connect properly, therefore causing them to be unhappy with their service,” Fielder said. “Many times our techs make house calls only to find out they weren’t connected to their wifi or didn’t have their settings adjusted properly. We may not be able to educate everyone, but hopefully, we can make a difference and help them to connect what matters.”

There will be information on Voice Over Internet Protocol, ETS Circuits/Business lines, Smart WiFi App how tos, and hybrid crew.
