Tillman County Sheriff William “Bill” Ingram, 50, of Frederick, died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle wreck Saturday night in south Newcastle.
Newcastle Police Chief Gary Norman said investigators do not have a narrative of what happened at this time because his department is waiting on assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a reconstruction of the collision.
Norman said Ingram was driving a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle on State Highway 9 and May Avenue at 8:33 p.m. Saturday when he was in the collision with a 2022 white Honda Pilot being driven by John Lyons, 45, of Duncan.
A Celebration of Life service is pending with Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick. A funeral home spokesperson said arrangements will be announced when they are finalized.
