Newcastle Middle School had 44 art and photography pieces accepted to the Oklahoma Student Art Exhibition, and several were winners.
Teacher Vickie Crossley said the Oklahoma Student Art Exhibition is a statewide juried art show and contest.
Teacher Kathy Cannon’s art students who placed Merit are: Cullen Richardson, Dominick Isbell, Grant Davis, Group 2, Kenley Crone and Skylar Williamson. Group 1 placed Exceptional Merit.
Crossley’s tech 1 and yearbook students who placed Merit in the photography category are: Karley Birt, Kylee Henry, Molly Stevens, and Treslyn Williams. Rylee Miller placed Exceptional Merit.
