Two Republican candidate forums will offer the chance for area residents to preview who is running for office in the 4th Congressional District and for House District 20.
Paul Maus, McClain County GOP chair, said save the date because the McClain County GOP is holding two different forums all in the same week. On Monday, May 20, candidates running for Oklahoma House District 20 are being asked to attend, and then on Thursday, May 23, candidates running for U.S. Representative Oklahoma 4th Congressional District are asked to attend.
The meetings will start at 7 p.m. in the Newcastle Storm Shelter, 851 North Carr Drive, Newcastle, both Monday and Thursday evening, Maus said. Doors open for a Meet and Greet from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and the forums will take place at 7 p.m.
“We look forward to meeting you,” Maus said.
Republican candidates running for HD20 include Lonnie Burns, Mike Fullerton, Alivia Snow, Mike Whaley, and Jonathan Wilk.
Republican candidates running for Oklahoma 4th Congressional District include Congressman Tom Cole, Paul Bondar, Nick Hankins, Rick Whitebear Harris, and Andrew Hayes. Maus said Congressman Cole has a scheduling conflict and will be represented by his campaign manager Scott Chance.
