Coletta Faye Smith Shaw passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024. She was born October 19, 1934, on a farm southwest of Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Orville and Alice Smith.
Coletta married Edward Shaw on June 10, 1952. They moved to Oklahoma City and later to Newcastle, where they raised their three sons, Craig, Rodney and Mark.
After moving back to Carnegie in 1979, Coletta became an active member of the Alfalfa Methodist Church, as well as being involved with the Carnegie Chamber of Commerce and the Carnegie Rotary Club.
She was very outgoing and always had a smile. She loved playing Bridge and traveling with family and friends.
Coletta worked 14 years at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and 16 years as an employee of Public Service Company of Oklahoma in Carnegie.
There will be a graveside memorial service at 10 a.m. on June 1 at the Alfalfa Cemetery in Alfalfa, Oklahoma.
