Local members of Rotary Club International are hosting a membership event on May 17 in Norman to network and “create hope in the world.”
The event is being held from 6-9 p.m. at the Well, located at 210 James Garner Avenue in Norman.
The event will bring together Rotarians from Norman, Moore, Purcell and Newcastle as a Rotary After Hours and information fair with the goal of connecting like-minded people to support those in need, both locally and around the world.
Rotary International President- elect Gordon R. McInally has called on members to promote peace in troubled nations, to help those affected by conflict, and keep up other initiatives.
This year, Rotary Club members are being asked to work together to find ways to promote peace and solve a problem escalated by COVID- 19: mental health challenges.
