Storms forecasted for last Saturday forced the Tri-City Cruisers car club to move their show in Newcastle to this Saturday.
Club spokesperson Bobby Hagan said the show participants would not want to bring their classic autos out in case of severe weather.
While the date changed, the show time and place remains the same. Registration is from 8-11 a.m. and judging is from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday on the south side of State Highway 37 and Tri-City Drive, behind Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy Store.
The public is encouraged to attend and take part in voting for crowd favorite.
Tri-City Cruisers President David Gayanich says all the proceeds made from the car show will be used to support community needs. Registration for participating vehicles is $30. All paid entries before 11 a.m. receive their car’s picture participant plaque.

Top 10 trophies will be given in the form of specialty handcrafted trophies and sponsor trophies. Club participation is encouraged and there will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, kids’ activities, an NSRA safety inspector, and a disc jockey.
Gayanich said the hosting club’s cars are ineligible for this show.
The Tri-City Cruisers is an active car club in the Blanchard, Newcastle, and Tuttle areas. Members enjoy a common interest in muscle cars, original and modified cars and trucks of all makes and years. Club activities include monthly meetings, cruiseins and dinner drives.
Past donations to the Tri-City Cruisers have been donated to those impacted by the Moore tornado, local residents whose homes had burned, and to local residents with health issues.
The club also has provided scholarships in the past that can be used for the tuition of vo-tech automotive program students.
