City of Newcastle Director of Parks & Recreation Kyle Marks said he’s looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor this year’s Newcastle Red, White & Blue Fest, which will be from 5-9:45 p.m June 29.
Marks said, “If you attended last year, you’ll recall that our event was the largest in the city’s history, with an estimated attendance of 3,0004,000 people. We’re excited to offer vendor opportunities for those interested in selling items at the festival.”
Marks said there is a $30 vendor fee which goes to support the Fraternal Order of Police Kops and Kids program. This program aids the police department in providing gifts for children in need during the Christmas season.
“Non-profit organizations and those distributing information are exempt from this fee, although donations are welcomed to support the cause,” Marks said.
This year’s Red, White & Blue Fest will have new attractions including a petting zoo, pony rides, and additional inflatables. FOP will have a dunk tank and a speed test, and there will be an expanded lineup of 13 food trucks. This year’s fireworks display is expected to have larger shells and an unforgettable finale. The band Drive will be performing live. To sign up, go online to: https://www.cognitoforms.com/CityOf-Newcastle1/RedWhiteAndBlue2024VendorSignup.
