Slow-pitch softball is underway in Newcastle for the 2024 season and the Racer girls have had two wins and three losses. Two of the losses came at the hands of Class 6A teams.
The Racer girls play in Class 5A this year. Their losses from the 6A teams came from Moore, 12-10, and Deer Creek, 14-0. Class 5A team Harrah also handed Newcastle a loss, 20-10.
The wins were in games with Class 5A teams, Little Axe, 11-1, and Blanchard, 122.
Their next games are with Dale and Lexington on March 25, and then North Rock Creek and Purcell on March 26.
