A new resource, the Girl Scouts Clothing Closet, was recently announced for students at Newcastle Elementary School.
If a student needs additional clothing, they can visit the Clothing Closet.
The area Girl Scouts were thanked by the school for working on “this helpful community project.” School officials said if a family’s money is tight, they can visit the Clothing Closet to help them with what they need. Or, if a child spills milk on their shirt, breaks their shoe during physical education, or has a hole in their shirt, they can go to the Clothing Closet to pick out a shirt, a pair of shoes, or pants.
For more information, contact either Dean of Students Chelsea Queen, or 2nd-3rd Grade Counselor Tracie Layman.
Other upcoming activities at NES include: PTO Popcorn Day, March 14; Spring Break (no school), March 1524; PTO Meeting, March 25; 4th Grade Field Trip, March 27; and Elementary Sno Cone, March 28.
