On February 3, McClain County 4-H members competed in three culinary contests at the McClain County Farm and Home Building. The contests included a Table Setting contest in which youth compete for the best-looking table setting.
The Food Showdown contest is a cooking competition in which they have secret ingredients, and they have 40 minutes to come up with a well-balanced meal, much like the TV show Chopped. The last contest of the day, Cupcake Wars, is a cupcake decorating contest. Here are the results from each of those contests:
