A special cookbook featuring recipes submitted by Newcastle-area residents is being created by Newcastle High School students. The idea is to make a keepsake that also raises funds for the student groups.
Newcastle educator Jeffrey Duncan said, “We are thrilled to announce the creation of the 2024 Community Cookbook, a delightful collection of 200-250 recipes that celebrate the culinary talents within our community. We kindly invite you to contribute your favorite recipes and share this initiative with friends, family, alumni and colleagues to make this cookbook a lasting treasure that fosters togetherness.
For those who want to submit recipes or order a cookbook, see the QR codes below and scan with your phone. You can also mail your check payments to Newcastle High School, Attn: Yearbook or Castle Corner Advisor, 101 N. Main Street, Newcastle, OK 73065. They ask that you do not mail cash.
Payments can also be dropped off at the NHS front office.
Duncan said, “Your participation will make a meaningful impact, and we look forward to your support in creating this special keepsake.”
He said let’s celebrate our culinary traditions, share our favorite recipes, and cook up some community spirit.
