Newcastle wrestling won two but then lost one at District Duals at Elgin last week. The Racers beat Lawton Eisenhower, 58-24, and Southeast, 66-18, before losing to Elgin, 0-74.
The Racers also wrestled Altus to a 53-30 win, but then lost to Noble, 48-33. On Friday and Saturday, the Racers were at Carl Albert High School for a tournament, placing six wrestlers.
Aundrea Estrada placed first, while Gage Stark placed second. Both Nicholas Lozano and Tapanga Bornt placed third, Madalynn Powers placed fourth, and Shane Lovejoy placed fifth.
The Racers wrestle at the Duncan High School Boys junior varsity tournament on Saturday.
