With the second-place finish at Midwestern Conference complete, the Racers started this week making up matches that were cancelled earlier this year because of bad weather.
Monday night the Racers wrestled at Cache, and Tuesday they wrestled Southmoore at Southmoore. On Wednesday, they were to wrestle Crossings Christian School. This weekend is Dual State, however Tuttle advanced from this district.
The Racers are going next to the East Regional Wrestling Tournament. Because Class 5A competition is new to the Racers this year, and the East division is also new, Newcastle hasn’t seen any of these wrestlers. The girls will wrestle February 13-14 at Mustang and the boys will wrestle at Pryor February 17-18.
Coach Zach Hale said he expects the wrestlers who have qualified in the past to qualify again.
